The 2015-16 season sees the U.S. Naval Academy join the ranks in football only. Under the leadership of commissioner Mike Aresco, The American, which operated as the Big East Conference from 1979 to 2013, has immediately taken a place at the forefront of Division I athletics, with schools that have played in four Bowl Championship Series games, won four NCAA men’s basketball titles since 1999, and won nine NCAA women’s basketball championships since 1995. Otherwise, the league would place its champion in either the Cotton Bowl, Fiesta Bowl or Peach Bowl if it is ranked higher than the champions of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference and the Sun Belt Conference. Additionally, The American has announced primary or secondary partnerships with 12 bowls for the next six-year cycle, ensuring multiple annual matchups against the nation’s top conferences and providing desirable postseason destinations to member institutions and their fans. Nicholson Fieldhouse E

nhancing the UCF Football experience is Nicholson Fieldhouse, the first indoor practice facility of any of Florida’s Division I football programs. Completed in June of 2005 and located behind the state-of-the-art Wayne Densch Sports Center, the fieldhouse features a 120-yard regulation FieldTurf playing surface and is climate controlled by a series of industrial-size air conditioning fans located at both the north and south endzones. Also used by other varsity sport programs, the facility is ideal during times of inclement weather and heat. The facility would not have been if not for the assistance of Tony and Sonja Nicholson, longtime supporters of academics and athletics

at UCF, who donated in excess of $2 million for the construction of the fieldhouse, which was named in their honor. Centex Rooney Construction Co. Inc. began building the $4.3 million field house in August of 2004, and the facility was up and ready for use by the spring. “The entire UCF community, especially our student-athletes and communications students, continues to benefit from the generous support of Tony and Sonja Nicholson,” UCF President John Hitt said. “The fieldhouse (allows) our athletes to practice in all types of weather and should give our teams a competitive advantage.”

Tony Nicholson owns several companies in Central Florida and has developed about 3,000 homes and 10,000 lots in the region since 1995. An entrepreneur since 1962, he moved in 1967 to Central Florida, where he has founded a magazine, a radio station and a company that produced concerts and videos. Tony Nicholson is a member of the boards of directors of the UCF Athletics Association Inc. and the UCF Foundation Inc. Sonja Nicholson is a past member of the Golden Knights Club Board of Directors. The Nicholsons made a $2 million commitment in 1996 to help fund the Nicholson School of Communication, which is named in their honor. The couple are longtime annual contributors to UCF athletics and consistently rank as Diamond Knights, the highest level for annual giving. A donation from the couple also helped to pay the university’s entry fee into the Mid-American Conference for football in 2002. The Nicholsons also made a $100,000 commitment in 1999 toward the Wayne Densch Sports Center. In addition, a football practice field is named in their honor.

UCF’s Academic Success A

n academic power, UCF may be posting double-digit victories on the field but it is dominating the classroom even more.

Academic Progress Rate

UCF football’s Academic Progress Rate rose yet again as official numbers were released by the NCAA in May. When head coach George O’Leary took over the program for the 2004 campaign, UCF’s APR stood at 880. That changed immediately, as the Knights quickly jumped to 973 for 2005-06 and had at least a 970 six out of seven times from 2005-06 to 2011-12. The 2012-13 APR, though, solidified UCF football as an overall football machine. The Knights checked in with a program-high of 994, only six points shy of a perfect score and tied for fifth in the country. It also marked eight consecutive years that UCF is ahead of the national average.

Highest 2012-13 APR for FBS Programs 1) Texas - 1,000 1) Louisville - 1,000 3) Air Force - 997 4) Stanford - 995 5) UCF - 994 5) Minnesota - 994 5) Utah State - 994 5) South Carolina - 994 5) Wisconsin - 994 10) Indiana - 991 10) Rutgers - 991 UCF’s multi-year APR rate (last four reporting periods) jumped from 975 to 978, placing the Knights 15th overall among all FBS schools.

GPA & Academic Honors

UCF football’s team grade-point average has been at least a 2.9 for three of the last four terms (excluding summers) entering fall 2014, highlighted by a 3.01 overall GPA for the 2012-13 academic year. Before entering The American, the Knights won the 2011-12 and 2012-13 Conference USA Football Academic Award for highest GPA in the league. More than 20 student-athletes in the past four years have been enrolled in graduate school while completing their eligibility. That included Lyle Dankenbring who was a Capital One Academic All-American in 2012.

UCF’s 978 stands 27 points higher than the average four-year rate among all NCAA football programs of 951.

In the fall 2013 semester, two Knights graduated, three earned a 4.0 GPA for the term and 48 players were on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for having at least a 3.0.

Of the top-15 multi-year APR programs, UCF, Duke, Wisconsin, Stanford, Clemson, Missouri, South Carolina and UCLA were ranked in the final AP and USA Today top-25 polls in 2013.

For the spring of 2014, eight student-athletes graduated, three received a 4.0 GPA for the term and 46 Knights earned Athletic Director’s Honor Roll distinction.

Back for More

O

ne thing was pretty clear heading into the 2013 season: UCF had exceptional talent at wide receiver. Fast forward to 2014 and this year’s group is even more eyeopening. The Knights did lose athletic captain Jeff Godfrey, but add a few nice pieces to what is already a polished group. With four of the top five wideouts back, UCF realizes that each weapon brought something different to the table a year ago. Rannell Hall led the way with 57 receptions for 886 yards (and chipped in 689 kickoff return yards as well as 121 rushing yards). Conversely, Breshad Perriman had 39 catches and 811 yards to average a team-high 20.8 yards per reception.

Another big playmaker, J.J. Worton paced the receiving corps with seven touchdowns, posting 47 catches for 721 yards. Josh Reese collected 21 receptions and served as one of the best downfield blockers on the team. If that is not enough, the Knights had an experienced receiver roaming around with the scout team in 2013. Ranking in the top five at UAB in career receptions and yards, Jackie Williams is now eligible to compete with the Black and Gold for his senior year. In all, UCF has four senior receivers poised for even more production in 2014. Adding to the mix is a large group of freshmen or sophomores looking to make a name for themselves, although the lineup will be tough to crack this season.

From that group of 10, Taylor Oldham is the only one with game experience, playing in 10 contests ,but does not have a catch to his credit. Tre’Quan Smith and Chris Davis Jr., who will wear No. 5 similar to Blake Bortles, who also attended Oviedo High School, are part of the 2014 signing class and will get some looks by the coaching staff in the preseason. A late edition to the roster, twosport talent Jordan Akins will be a freshman in 2014 after spending four seasons in the Texas Rangers farm system. He was a part of the 2010 UCF signing class, but was selected in the third round of the MLB Draft and inked a deal with the Rangers.

T

he UCF offense has posted some of its best numbers in program history the last few years, and a major reason for that output was the offensive line. UCF’s line ultimately helped the squad average 34.6 points and 441.5 yards per game in 2013. The 441.5 per-game average was the highest mark dating back to the 1998 season when FL Studio 20.8.4 Build 2567 Crack With Product Key Free Download 2022 posted a school record 487.7 average. The makeup of last year’s o-line consisted of three members who went on to sign deals with NFL organizations: right tackle Chris Martin, right guard Justin McCray and left guard Jordan McCray. With more than half of the line departing UCF, there are several holes for position coach Brent Key to fill for the 2014 campaign. The veteran of the returning group will be Internet download accelerator 2018 Wilson, who boasts 29 career starts for the Knights, all at left tackle. He did

see time at left guard in spring camp but will likely stay at the tackle spot for the fall. Wilson was on the Conference USA All-Freshman Team and then the All-C-USA Second Team his first two years before being placed on Phil Steele’s Postseason AllAmerican Athletic Conference Third Team in 2013. The other starter back will be center Joey Grant. Part of the defense from aomei license code 2021, the Apopka native switched over in the spring of 2013, a move that proved to be a successful FL Studio 20.8.4 Build 2567 Crack With Product Key Free Download 2022 for all parties. Meanwhile, this past spring camp saw the additions of Michael Campbell, Tarik Cook and Chester Brown to the first team. Campbell jumped in at left tackle and stands 6-foot-6, 285 pounds. He recovered from a true freshman injury to play in 12 of UCF’s 13 contests a year ago.

Coming to UCF as a highlytouted center, Cook earned his first starts in 2013 by seeing time at right guard against Penn State and Memphis. Filling the right side, Brown was on the defensive scout team as a true freshman in 2012 before jumping to the offensive line in 2013 preseason camp and playing against FIU, Penn State and UConn. He boasts a frame of 6-foot-5 and 317 pounds. There will be plenty of competition, though, as a host of other Knights are also eager to fill the void left by the three seniors as well. Micah Anderson, Kelly Parfitt and Colby Watson all enter their third year in the UCF system, while eight more Knights are in the mix including Aaron Evans and Tate Hernly who Coach O’Leary spoke highly of in the offseason.

S

imilar to the offensive line, UCF’s tight ends and H-backs do not get a lot of the credit they deserve since they are usually the men in the trenches doing the dirty work up front. At least for this group, though, every now and then their names will pop up in the box score. One of those tight ends that has progressed each season while racking up a few receptions is senior Justin Tukes who stands at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds. A true freshman in 2011, the Sylvester, Georgia, FL Studio 20.8.4 Build 2567 Crack With Product Key Free Download 2022, native has increased his offensive output every year, highlighted by 13 catches for 116 yards in 2013. Overall, he has 25 receptions and three touchdowns including a score against USF last season.

Two more tight ends with almost identical builds are Kevin Miller and Cal Bloom who both saw time in 12 games a year ago. Miller earned starts against Penn State, Temple and USF when UCF decided to open up with two tight-end sets. He received quality minutes all year long and also tacked on a pair of 9-yard receptions during that sophomore campaign. Bloom mostly saw time on special teams, but also played fullback and H-back while attending high school in Minnesota. Not an important element in UCF’s offensive scheme early in the 2013 season, H-back Joseph Puopolo developed quickly in his first year of action as a sophomore, and ultimately earned a start against Temple.

itting behind the eventual third overall pick in the NFL Draft can be a difficult, boring pill to swallow. But for Justin Holman and Pete DiNovo, they did not sit back and let it ride. Instead they used their true freshmen seasons to learn from one of the best. Now that Blake Bortles is lacing them up in the NFL, the young duo will be looked blender cell fracture crack it to take the reigns of the Knights. And they will not be alone. Holman was the lone signalcaller to get snaps behind Bortles in 2013, going 9-for-14 for 75 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Most of that action was against UConn when he went 6-for-11 with 65 yards and a score, while also rushing for 29 yards on three attempts. Holman was the No. 37 dual-threat quarterback in the nation coming out of Georgia’s

rue freshmen are not typically ones to make a name for themselves in the college football circuit. Only a select few have the ability to make highlight reels. In 2013, FL Studio 20.8.4 Build 2567 Crack With Product Key Free Download 2022, UCF had one of those true freshmen in William Stanback. He may have played second fiddle to eventual seventh-round draft pick Storm Johnson who busted out for 1,139 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, but Stanback took advantage of his opportunities. The product of New York totaled 443 rushing yards and six touchdowns, and also racked up 15 receptions for 186 yards and a score. Fans across the nation got a taste of Stanback from his boneshattering tackle on special teams at Memphis that jarred the ball

loose and led to UCF’s gamewinning touchdown, as well as his run after a catch against Rutgers where he bulldozed the defender in his way. Stanback did begin to contribute in the air attack late, posting 13 of his 15 catches in the final five games. Back on the ground, he is still looking for his first 100-yard rushing game. Stanback will certainly not be alone in the backfield. This past spring, Dontravious Wilson jumped out to the coaching staff and began receiving reps with the first team. That was evident in the spring game when he had 15 rushes overall for 44 yards and a touchdown. 2014 as Micah Reed posted seven carries in his first campaign as a Knight. Both he and Wilson mostly came on in the kickoff return game for the Knights but could see more time in the offensive game plan in their second year in Black and Gold. The most experienced running back will be Cedric Thompson who is beginning his fourth year on the roster. A Tight Group

I

t can be a very lucky thing for a football program to return all four starting defensive backs. And not only are they starters, but they lead by example. Seniors Brandon Alexander, Clayton Geathers and Jordan Ozerities have combined to play in 110 games while making 84 starts for the Knights. Geathers leads the way, starting all 39 UCF games from 2011-13. The strong safety posted at least 100 tackles in each of the last two campaigns, and stepped his game up to another level last year by breaking up 10 passes and pulling in the first two interceptions of his career. He was rewarded with a spot on the All-American Athletic Conference Second Team. Alexander served as a cornerback in 2011 and 2012 until

switching to free safety for 2013 where he set career-highs with 63 tackles and three picks, most notably one against Baylor in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. A native of Orlando, Alexander was a national nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, which honors the best walk-on in the nation. Ozerities was a key reserve his first two seasons but then started all 13 games in 2013 at cornerback. With a previous personal-high in tackles set at 21, he blew that out of the water with 59 tackles his junior year while also recording 4.5 tackles for loss and six breakups. In all, the 2011 Conference USA All-Freshman Team member has three interceptions as a Knight. Over on the other side, Jacoby Glenn sat out as a true freshman in 2012 but dazzled in his first year on the college gridiron. The

High Expectations

G

etting to the quarterback was a necessity in 2013. Facing the talented likes of Teddy Bridgewater and Bryce Petty, to name a couple, presented huge tasks for the Knights. To make things even busier for the defensive line, UCF matched up with several freshmen quarterbacks during the year who all brought their A-game when they faced the Black and Gold as well. With veteran defensive line coach Lorenzo Costantini back in control last season, the Knights produced. As a team in 2012, they averaged 1.9 sacks per game, but jumped to 2.2 a year ago and a big reason for that was the men up front. E.J. Dunston chipped in three sacks and 42 tackles and will be difficult to replace in the middle. Next to him, though, Demetris

Anderson provided seven tackles for loss in his sophomore season. On the ends, Thomas Niles picked up where he left off as a freshman, starting all 13 games and adding four sacks with eight tackles for loss. Three of those sacks came in his final five outings. UCF did use five different Knights as starters opposite of Niles, with Miles Pace picking up four of those starts and accumulating 1.5 sacks and four tackles for loss. Along with Pace, there are a host of candidates vying to join Anderson and Niles as consistent starters in 2014, FL Studio 20.8.4 Build 2567 Crack With Product Key Free Download 2022. Defensive tackle Jaryl Mamea could be a front runner to replace Dunston, starting three games as a junior and recording a pair acdsee video studio 4 license key sacks. Luke Adams earned five starts at defensive end and Seyvon Lowry also started last year. The wild card in the bunch may be Deion Green. Voted to the 2012 Conference USA All-Freshman Team, Green delivered four sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss that season and was poised for more as a sophomore. One More Time

T

he Knights have only one more season to enjoy the faces of Terrance Plummer and Troy Gray guiding the linebacker corps. Coming to Orlando in 2011, they both saw substantial time as true freshmen. Plummer started one of his 11 games played, while Gray started nine and competed in all 12 UCF contests. In 2013, they were back at it. Plummer dominated at middle linebacker, being selected on to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team as well as earning Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Defensive MVP honors. He paced the Knights with 110 tackles and came through with 8.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. At Memphis, he picked off two passes in the end zone en route to National Defensive Player of the Week honors.

For his career, Plummer sits at 235 tackles and 17.5 tackles for loss. Gray only had one start as a sophomore before having 12 in 2013. Last year, he almost doubled his season-high in tackles with 62, cranking out four break-ups, two interceptions and four tackles for loss. Just like one of UCF’s defensive end positions, the Knights had five different starters besides Plummer and Gray. Justin McDonald did not see time in the first four games of his true freshman campaign last year, but eventually played the last nine with starts vs. Rutgers, USF and SMU. In the process, he had 32 tackles with four going for a loss. Senior Willie Mitchell returns after starting the first two games of 2013, as does classmate Michael

Changing the Game

W

ith every key piece of the special teams game back for 2014, position coach Mike Buscemi has to be all smiles. But there is still plenty of work to be done. Shawn Moffitt broke out in 2013, setting several UCF singleseason records by going 21-for-23 in field-goal attempts for a 91.3 percentage. He also converted all 49 extra-point attempts for a team-high 112 points. Rodrigo Quirarte continues to battle Moffitt, forming a competition in the kicking game that has made both Knights better. And Sean Galvin, who serves as UCF’s kickoff specialist, will get the chance to live out his dream of playing an event at historic Croke Park as the Knights take on Penn State in Dublin to open the season. Galvin is a native of Cork, Ireland.

Speaking of kicking, punter Caleb Houston excelled as a redshirt freshman, averaging 42.2 yards per boot to easily rank in the UCF single-season top 10 and placing 12 kicks inside the 20, FL Studio 20.8.4 Build 2567 Crack With Product Key Free Download 2022. Houston’s longest punt was 71 yards, and he had eight that traveled at least 50. Setting up the kicking game, Scott Teal begins his senior year in 2014, working as UCF’s long snapper each of the last two campaigns. Anxious to get a look behind Teal are Gage Marsil and Mario Elliott. The return game, meanwhile, has a few familiar names as well. A 2011 All-Conference USA First Team honoree as a kick returner, Rannell Hall ran back 29 of the 41 returns a year ago, posting a 23.8 average in the process. From 2011-
